Why Does a Website Say “Image Dimensions Too Large”?
A 300 KB image can still be rejected if its width or height exceeds the website’s pixel limit. File size and image dimensions are separate constraints.

Width × height describes the pixel canvas. KB or MB describes encoded bytes. A highly compressed 6000×4000 JPEG can be small in bytes but still violate a dimension limit.
Resize before lowering quality
When the error specifically mentions dimensions, reduce width and height first. Lowering quality alone may make the file smaller without fixing the actual rule.
Use the exact error message
Some sites enforce both dimensions and file size. Match each reported constraint separately and preview the final output before uploading again.
