Pixels vs KB: Which Upload Rule Should You Fix First?
A 5 MB image can have small pixel dimensions, and a 100 KB image can still be thousands of pixels wide. Pixels and KB describe different things.

Width and height control dimensions, aspect ratio and how much detail the image contains. Fix a dimensions error by resizing or cropping.
KB defines storage weight
File size depends on dimensions, image detail, format and compression. Fix a file-size error by encoding more efficiently after the canvas is correct.
When both are specified, solve both
For rules such as 600×600 under 100 KB, create the required 600×600 canvas first and then enforce the 100 KB ceiling.
