How to Make a 600×600 JPG at 300 DPI Under 240 KB

Combine pixels, JPEG output, DPI metadata and a file-size ceiling in the right order.

Lock the pixel canvas first

Resize or crop to 600×600 before final compression. Changing dimensions later changes the encoded size again.

Set JPEG and DPI metadata next

JPEG format and 300 DPI metadata are separate from pixel dimensions. DPI metadata does not create more pixels.

Optimize the final file last

Apply the 240 KB ceiling after geometry and format are fixed, then verify the receiving portal before submission.
