How to Add Metadata to Multiple Images at Once

If dozens of JPEGs need the same copyright, artist or description fields, editing EXIF one file at a time is unnecessary repetition.

What metadata is useful to add in bulk?

The most reusable batch fields are usually Artist, Copyright and Image Description. They are useful for authorship, client delivery, publishing archives and consistent asset preparation.

Use one metadata rule across the batch

Create one output in Batch Img Tools, choose Write custom metadata, enter the shared values, then process the complete source set.

Because metadata lives inside the output recipe, you can combine it with resize, conversion, DPI and filename rules instead of treating metadata as a separate job.

  • Artist / creator
  • Copyright notice
  • Description
  • Optional DPI metadata

Save the setup for recurring deliveries

If this is a workflow you repeat, save the output setup as a local Recipe. The next batch can reuse the same metadata and export rules without rebuilding them.

Do it now, not one file at a time.Open Bulk Metadata Editor →
